“Only expect the unexpected”

If you have ever heard about someone being majorly into sports, mountains and nature in general, loving creativity and enjoying the #NOW with friends and family, it could well have been me.

I would identify myself as a person who likes different kinds of activities, but always giving full attention to them while at it: starting with #yoga , #cycling , #jogging as the most common sports that I practice, but you can also find me #hiking up a nice little mountain set, #climbing rock walls or enjoying the altitudes with my beloved passion – #mountaineering. Okay, yes, do not be surprised, but as I am curious as crazy, there are more things you can easily find me doing with joy and laughter: like #snow- and #splitboarding or cross-country #skiing in #ilovewinter times and playing #tennis or #kitesurfing in #summerisawesome seasons. Not less do I enjoy #photography (to capture the “now”), discovering the world of #graphicdesign and the world itself by #travelling near and far and as often as possible. Momentums to remember for me are something as amazing as witnessing an early sunrise on top of Uetliberg or something as easy as chilled out board game and #cooking evenings with close friends. Oh yes, let me just add that I am an enthusiast when it comes to learning #languages as well. Have been since forever basically. Long extra story for the future perhaps…

The rest of the time I work in a system with different forces – #trading commodities, more specifically natural gas. It’s a bit like two guys from two different countries start talking to each other about the fact that one has those natural resources which the other one doesn’t, but both want to generate electricity… So natural gas as a power generation source jumps into the game and the two guys agree on the terms of how to move the molecules from point A to point B. After some time, analysis, “numbers” and effort… Voilà, gas has been bought and sold and that’s kinda what I do.

And when people still keep asking me what it is about, I would put it into the category “Chandler-case” from “Friends” – you know him, you are great friends with him, but if someone asked what his job is ...

Fun fact: some have seen me like a 100 times jumping out of a plane / #skydiving , but to be honest, it is not something to go around with while drumming on my chest,  just one more option to live the current moment.

Motto: only expect the unexpected, know what it is that you want and do the work to achieve it, surround yourself with real people.

Something like “let’s create the heck out of life! Plan and organize, but always leave room to go with the flow”. Together with cool people. Like “those” from Gravity9… Have you ever heard about them by the way?

About Gravity9 and Maarja …

Above a lot of things, I believe in #creativity and #lifeartistry. Singing in a way always accompanied me, but more for myself. Making the voice of Smeagol (yes, with me you can definitely talk about all kinds of #movies and Lord of The Rings among them) or parroting an accent have been somewhat my things as well. And then the first time I saw Grease as a musical on stage in Estonia (the cool funny land that I originally come from) ... let’s just say musicals and musical movies have managed to get under my skin ever since. All that was way back some time ago, however. Until one fine day, after I had moved to Zurich, I met Andres (co-founder of #Gravity9), my first real singing coach. And great things started happening. We trained for a while with private lessons and sang en español también. “Yo soy quien soy...:” Soon after, about 1,5 years ago now, I moved on to what Andres had recently started out with his “partner in crime” Hannes – the cool shop of Gravity9. And even greater things started happening. Since then, pure inspiration has been pouring into me from people as talented as the coaches and group members. #Singing, #acting, #dancing and friendship have been growing into a combo here and somehow gotten a whole new meaning for me. I keep discovering techniques, which are not only insanely effective in improving musical performances, but also relatable to so many other aspects in my daily life.

I am truly excited to have the opportunity to turn #blogging into teamwork and with all the stories that we are about to share… let the fun begin!
